Welcome To The Bridge - Length 15 – 30 min
The Bridge has been changing lives for over thirty years in southeast Harris county; learn the history, mission and become more acquainted with the array of services and programs provided to assist women, children and men impacted by sexual and domestic violence and also homelessness as well as how you can become involved in creating change.

Healthy Relationships - Length  45  min
Participants learn the four indicators of a healthy relationship and how to identify potentially abusive behaviors in relationships.  This presentation is excellent for youth, parent and teen groups.

Domestic Violence 101 - Length 45 min
This introductory program defines domestic violence and discusses the dynamics of an abusive relationship and the impact on the victim, children, batterer and the community at large.  Participants will be able to identify the reasons a victim may stay in an abusive relationship.

Domestic Violence 102:  Legal Remedies - Length 45 min
It is estimated that a woman in an abusive relationship will leave their abusive partner seven to eight times before they decide to never return again.  Why?  There are a myriad of reasons.  During this 45 minute seminar attendees will gain knowledge on what legal remedies are available to individuals in abusive relationships when issues such as legal permanent residency, fear of future harm and terminating apartment leases.

Domestic Violence 103:  Children & Domestic Violence - Length 45 min
An estimated 3.3 million witness domestic violence every year in their homes.  This program provides an overview of the impact of children witnessing the verbal, physical and sexual abuse of their parent.  Participants will be able to discuss the impact of domestic violence on children’s behavior, health and school performance.  This is an informative program for teachers, childcare staff and professionals working with children.

Sexual Violence 101 - Length 45 min
This introductory program defines sexual violence and the continuum of behaviors that lead to sexual assault.  Participants will be able to identify the types of sexual violence, and distinguish between myths and facts.

Sexual Violence 102:  From Victim to Survivor - Length 45 min
What happens after a sexual assault?  This program provides information on the healing cycle of sexual violence and options for the individual who has been victimized such as community referrals, legal remedies and self-care strategies.

Sexual Violence 103:  Sexual Harassment - Length 45 min
Flirting vs Hurting is the topic of this program; participants will be able to define sexual harassment and identify when “playing” crosses the line to sexual violence in the workplace, educational setting and general public.  Participants will learn strategies to address sexual harassing behavior and identify legal remedies to address sexual harassment at work and in the educational setting.

Primary Prevention 101 - Length 45 min
Sexual and domestic violence are preventable!  This program introduces the community to the concept of primary prevention and at the end of the seminar participants will be able to define primary prevention and discuss how the community can work toward creating a safer and healthier community .

Primary Prevention 102:  Bystander Skills Development - Length 45 min
In 1964 Catherine “Kitty” Genovese was brutally attacked and sexually assaulted for approximately an hour as 38 people watched from their windows.  Her death was a direct of “bystander behavior”.  After this program participants will be able to define bystander behavior, identify the two reasons it exists and most importantly learn strategies to address inappropriate behavior to prevent sexual and domestic violence as a bystander.

Primary Prevention 103:  Get Focused on Prevention - Length 45 min
What constitutes sexual and domestic violence?  Are there services available in your community?  What really causes sexual and domestic violence?  This interactive program is a focus group to assist communities in identifying the root causes of sexual and domestic violence so that strategies can be brainstormed and implemented to prevent these intimate crimes and provide a safer and healthier community.
