Special Volunteer Projects

Volunteer Opportunities are at the heart of Bridge services and programs. We utilize volunteers in all divisions of The Bridge including administrative purposes, direct service efforts and special projects.

Individual opportunities include: medical volunteer (performing exams or educating on health issues), office aide, hotline or shelter advocate, community speaker or children’s volunteer (reading, playing games or play therapy).

Group opportunities include assistance with the shelter pantry, furniture relocation, light landscaping at the shelter or long-term housing facility and fundraising work. Special projects include holiday activities, food/supply drives, workshops and other activities for women and/or children. For volunteer information,
